hi every one say you have a advanced analysis pspice model in your circuit under test and you open up the model editor and click on the smoke tab and say that there are only 5 parameters which you can change the value such PDM a TJ and you would like to add more parameters such as max juction temperature is this possible

Tj is maximum junction temperature and one can modify it. At this stage smoke does not allow adding custom parameters through GUI. It would be intresting to know, what all parameters you would like to add and what checks they belongs to. Current list of supported parameters for a given device in SMOKE is very exhaustive and should support most of failure conditions.
its a lm317 regulator but it has no smoke properties for max input current or maxium power dissipation
Do you have the PSpice description for such model? In the default PSpice Cadence library you can find the component LM311.This component has declared the Smoke Parameters for Max input current although there isn't any value defined for it.
In <installation>\SPB_17.2\doc\pspaugca you find a document for PSpice Advanced Analysis. Up page 166 you can find a summary of all the properties for smoke analysis you can define for each kind of component.

Yes. LM317 does not have rated current. if you look at the datasheet for this device (I am referring the one available at TI site), you will notice that datasheet also does not mention the rated current. Both of the parameters may be handled by junction temperature (indirectly)

So I have been working with Smoke Analysis for quite some time not and came across a number of limitations; I cannot add more parameters to an existing model, I cannot add a custom part in smoke (e.g.Switching Regulator) and I cannot make changes to an existing part in the model editor(e.g adding more pins to a voltage regulator to check streass on each pic). But I was able to find ways to do all of the above stuff using the property files. I ended up making changes to a voltage regulator to run smoke on it as a switching regulator, by adding 6 more pins in the properties file, and adding custom smoke parameters. I also had to make changes to the templates.prp file to basically tell smoke display results for those specific parameters.
I understand you want to expand the smoke parameters in the PSpice model for better monitoring and control, such as adding a maximum joint temperature parameter. This is a completely feasible requirement with PSpice. PSpice's simulation tools are very powerful, allowing you to customize and add many different parameters to the model. This way, you will be able to improve the accuracy and performance of your electronic circuit analysis. I did it with rice purity test.
